Born in Athens, Greece, Aliki’s aesthetic palette was shaped by long walks on Greek islands, excursions in Norwegian fjords and Swiss mountains. As far as she can remember she always had two passions, animals and painting. Her notebooks were full of sketches and her margins covered with small colourful drawings.

As a self-taught artist, it is only since 2003 that she has dedicated more time to her passion. Aliki, an animal lover with pets of her own, including 24 Skyros horses on the family estate in Corfu, Greece, decided to explore different painting techniques. Because watercolour with natural, pure pigments renders the most satisfactory combination of light and vibrant colours, she decided to develop her own "HORSE TALE" style using these simple materials.
