ARTISTS AT THE SERVICE OF A RARE HORSE

“Horse Art” exhibition on the island of Corfu (Greece), 25 September to 10 October, 2005

The Director of the Municipal Gallery of Corfu, Maria Melenti, the island’s Mayor Ioannis Trepeklis, the STABLUS HALL associates and the SILVA Project for the preservation of the endangered Skyros horse, have the pleasure to invite you to the following double exhibition in aid of the Skyros horse:

After the Skyros and Athens exhibitions, the Corfu exhibition was promoted in September by a series of press articles and TV programs. Press clippings summaries can be found in the “NEWS” section of this site.

During the exhibition, “TILEKERKYRA”, the local TV, made a detailed presentation of all works presented by the following “Horse Art” artists :

On September 25th, just before the exhibition inauguration, the SILVA estate organised an open day for the visitors who wanted to see the Skyros horses breeding centre and riding school. After the “Art Café” and STABLUS HALL art gallery previews in town and by the Corfu port, the exhibition visitors enjoyed a Greek buffet and “LIVE” music played by a Greek-Italian band.

The exhibition visitors, including tourists from all over the world, where impressed by the quality of paintings, sculptures and art pictures presented at the “Art Café” and STABLUS HALL. Excerpts of the feedback provided by the exhibition visitors can be accessed from this site’s HOME page.
